Brian Varela is a first-generation American, entrepreneur, father, and community leader fighting to ensure that every family has a fair shot at the American Dream.
Born and raised in New Jersey to Colombian immigrant parents, Brian learned early on what it meant to work hard. His parents—his mother a waitress and factory worker, his father a limo and truck driver—did everything they could to provide for their family. Their sacrifices instilled in Brian the values of perseverance, resilience, and service to others.
Brian put himself through college, working full-time while completing his degree in 3.5 years, graduating cum laude. When his mother was diagnosed with cancer, he stepped up to manage the family’s finances while supporting his younger brother. After her passing, he continued to work in corporate America to provide for his family before ultimately taking a leap into entrepreneurship.
